Terms of Service

1. The short version

These terms are between you and Nison Consulting LLC, operating Love & Likeness. Love & Likeness turns a pet photo into stylized portraits and coordinated wall art using an image-generation service. By using the service or purchasing a download, you agree to these terms.

2. Who can use it

• You must be 13 or older.
• If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or guardian must approve any purchase.
• You must own the pet photo or have permission to upload it. Don't upload images of someone else's pet without their okay.
• Don't upload images that contain prominent human faces, copyrighted characters, trademarks, or anything that wouldn't pass an "is it weird to send this in a card" sniff test.

3. What you keep

You keep your rights in the pet photo you upload. As between you and us, and to the extent permitted by applicable law and provider terms, you may use purchased portrait downloads for personal printing, gifting, and sharing. We do not use uploaded photos to train AI models or opt them into provider training.

4. What we do with uploads

• We strip EXIF metadata from your photo on upload.
• We keep the source photo available for generation, retries, and customer support for up to 7 days. After that, it is blocked from further use and queued for automatic deletion; cleanup retries until storage confirms removal. Generated portraits remain available for preview, purchase recovery, and re-download until you request deletion.
• We pass your photo through OpenAI's image-edit API to generate the portrait. OpenAI's usage policies and data handling apply at that step.

5. Previews and finished downloads

Free previews are watermarked. Removing the watermark to redistribute the image without purchasing the finished download is not okay—both because it's a thing we sell and because the watermark is part of how we keep generation costs sustainable.

6. Refunds

• If a generation fails, the preview it used is returned automatically.
• If a portrait doesn't look like your pet, you get one free retry on the same upload while that source photo remains available, typically up to 7 days.
• Because you approve a watermarked preview before purchase, a successfully delivered finished digital file is generally a final sale. This does not limit any refund or cancellation right that applicable law gives you.
• If we cannot deliver or restore a file you purchased, contact support so we can fix the delivery or issue an appropriate refund.

7. Things we won't do

• We won't generate copyrighted characters (Batman, Pixar styles, etc.).
• We won't sell your photos or disclose them outside the service providers needed to process and store them.
• We won't add a subscription or recurring charge to a one-time purchase.

8. Things we do reserve the right to do

• Refuse generation if our content safety system flags an upload.
• Revoke abusive browser sessions or block attempts to bypass usage limits.
• Update these terms with reasonable notice.

9. Limitation of liability

The service is provided as-is to the extent permitted by law. To that same extent, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from generated portraits. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
