Frequently asked questions
Will it actually look like my pet?
That's the goal. Your photo is used as the visual reference—not reduced to a text description—and our prompts prioritize fur pattern, eye color, ear shape, muzzle, and distinctive markings. If the likeness misses, one retry on that portrait is available while the original upload is retained, for up to 7 days.
What is free, and what costs money?
You get 2 small watermarked portrait previews plus 1 complete three-panel wall-art preview set. A finished watermark-free portrait is $9.99; a finished three-panel wall art set is $19.99. Both are one-time purchases with no subscription.
How long does generation take?
Timing varies with image processing, style, and current model load. A three-panel set takes longer because every panel is generated separately. Keep the tab open while we show progress.
Can I use a pet other than a dog or cat?
Clear photos of rabbits and birds can work too, and the examples gallery shows the same visual directions across different pets. Results vary by species; a face-forward photo in even daylight gives the model the best reference.
Do I keep the rights to my portrait?
Yes. Your pet's likeness is yours, and a purchased portrait is yours to download, print, and share for personal use. Love & Likeness does not sell uploaded photos, use them for AI-model training, or opt them into provider training. You can request deletion at any time.
Can I get refunds if I don't like it?
A successfully delivered finished digital file is generally a final sale because you approve the watermarked artwork before checkout. Failed generations automatically return the preview they used, a likeness miss includes one retry, and a file we cannot deliver or restore is eligible for an appropriate refund. This does not limit any rights provided by applicable law.
How large can I print the download?
The finished file is delivered at 2400px on its longest edge and is optimized for small framed prints—typically up to about 8×8 inches, or 8×10 with a mat for a square portrait. We do not promise large-format print quality yet.
